Finally, Moss, the progress bar, is the protagonist of a video game.

This game features ..,

  • only four colors for undistracted playing
  • a novel experience with minimal playtime
  • a whole new view on the unsung hero, Moss.

Play it in the browser, on Windows, or on Linux. It runs well on a Steam Deck, too. It's best played with a controller with XBox Layout, but all buttons are also mapped to the keyboard. <ESC> and the menu button let you go back to a menu and exit or restart the game.

Ellie testing the game on the Steam Deck

Mathias developed the game for the 7th Klagenfurt Winter Jam, and the incredible music is from Ellie Chraïbi. There was a little help from ChatGPT for writing, Kenney's assets for the buttons, and great friends for playtesting.

Install instructions

For the Steam Deck, switch to the desktop and

  1. download the binary file,
  2. make it runnable with chmod a+x and then
  3. add it as a non-Steam game to Steam. (Otherwise, the controller won't work)

You can then switch back to the game view and start it from there.
